Canada College Campus Walk

Welcome to Canada College, a public community college on a 131-acre hillside in western Redwood City and part of the San Mateo County Community College District. The college writes its name with a tilde over the n, as in Spanish, and says it kan-YAH-dah. The name comes from Canada Road, and the Spanish word means a small canyon or ravine. This guide writes it without the tilde.
This walk is for prospective students and families visiting outside scheduled tours, and for anyone curious. Over nine stops you will see where students sign up and get help, study, take science and arts classes, eat, and work out, and hear how the campus has grown since its first classes in 1968.
The loop takes about an hour. It is compact but hilly, with stairs and ramps between levels. It starts at Building 9, beside the bus stop and Lot 1, and ends at the athletic fields, a short walk back. Please stay in public areas.
