Athletic Fields - Where the Colts Play

A stop on Canada College Campus Walk, a free self-guided tour.

Below you spread the college's athletic fields: the baseball field and the soccer field side by side, with the tennis courts across the road to the east. The Canada Colts compete in the Coast Conference in sports including baseball, men's basketball, men's and women's soccer, women's golf, women's tennis and women's volleyball.

Canada has a proud tennis history: the men's team won state championships in 1977, 1978, 1982, 1983 and 1993, and the men's golf team won a state title in 1988.

On the slope near the main entrance, look for the rows of solar panels, part of the college's solar power project.

If you play a sport and are thinking about Canada, the athletics website lists teams, coaches and schedules. A home game is an easy way to see the campus at its liveliest.

This is the end of the walk. To return to Building 9, head back up the road past Building 3 to Lot 1.

Getting here: From Building 1, walk east along the path past the pools to where you can look over the baseball and soccer fields.

Did you know?: Three future major leaguers attended Canada: Moises Alou, Bob Melvin and Harold Reynolds.
