Gym and Fields - Home of the Trojans
A stop on Skyline College Campus Walk, a free self-guided tour.
Building 3, beside you, is the gymnasium and the home of the Skyline Trojans, who wear red and black. It houses the gym, the Kinesiology, Athletics and Dance Division and the athletics office.
Look east and you'll see why the athletic complex fills so much of the ridge: the upper soccer field, the baseball field, the tennis courts, a big grass field and, farther down, the lower track and field. The Trojans compete in the Coast Conference, against neighbors such as College of San Mateo and Canada College, in sports including baseball, basketball, soccer and track. In 2025 the baseball team shared the Coast North division title.
Even if you're not an athlete, these fields and the gym are open for kinesiology and dance classes, and they're part of what makes the campus feel like a complete college. On a windy afternoon, you'll also understand why players here learn to deal with fog and breeze off the ocean.
Getting here: From Building 4, walk south past the small portable buildings to the gym, Building 3, and continue to its east side, overlooking the fields.
Did you know?: Skyline's biggest rivals are its sisters: College of San Mateo and Canada College belong to the same college district and play in the same conference.
Photo op: From beside Building 3, frame the green soccer and baseball fields with the hills beyond.
