A stop on Menlo College Campus Walk, a free self-guided tour.

This is the social center of Menlo College. The Dining Hall is where most residential students eat, and right beside it are the Student Union and the campus post office, where students pick up packages and mail. Between meals you will find people meeting friends, working on group projects and planning club events here.

Both buildings date from Menlo's big postwar expansion. A student union, post office and a new dormitory were finished in 1958, and the current dining commons opened in 1962. The old dining commons was turned into Bowman Library, the building you saw across the Quad.

Student life at a college this size is close-knit. Student government runs clubs and activities, and an art committee organizes exhibitions around campus. Ask a current student here what they like about Menlo, and you will likely hear about knowing people by name.

Take a moment to notice how everything a student needs in a day is within a few minutes' walk of this spot.

Getting here: From Brawner Hall, walk north along the west side of the Quad to the Dining Hall.

Did you know?: Menlo's dining hall has moved once already: the building that served meals before 1962 is now the college library.
