Building 6 and the Quad - Where Campus Gathers

A stop on Skyline College Campus Walk, a free self-guided tour.
You're standing on the Quad, the open center of campus, with Building 6, the Student and Community Center, right in front of you. If you want to see what student life feels like here, this is the place.
Building 6 opened in 2007. Inside are the Bookstore, the Fireside Dining Room with its cafe and coffee counter, the Center for Student Life and Leadership Development, and the offices of the Associated Students of Skyline College, the student government. Public Safety and campus parking services are here as well.
The Quad links many of the buildings you'll use every day: Building 7 for science, Building 2 for student services, Building 1 for the arts and Building 5 for the library. Between classes, students cut across it, meet friends and sit out when the sun breaks through. Take a minute and watch the traffic: you'll learn a lot about the campus in five minutes.
Getting here: Walk a few steps east from Building 7 to the open quad. Building 6 is the curved building on its north side.
Did you know?: Before Building 6 opened, the Skyline Bookstore operated out of a small portable building.
Photo op: From the middle of the Quad, frame the curve of Building 6 with the walkways leading toward it.
