Library and Learning Center - Help on Every Floor
A stop on Canada College Campus Walk, a free self-guided tour.
Building 9 stacks the college's academic support right above student services. You are now at the north end of the building, below its upper floors.
The second floor is the Learning Center. It has computer lab space, general tutoring, the Writing Center and the STEM Center. Drop-in tutoring is its most popular service, and students do not need an appointment for it. The STEM Center helps science, technology, engineering and math students find tutoring, study groups, workshops, mentoring, internships and scholarships.
The library fills the third floor. Besides books and quiet study space, it lends textbooks, laptops, Chromebooks and mobile hotspots, and librarians help with research and citations in person or online.
For a new student, this building is worth learning early: help with a hard class is usually one flight of stairs away from where you registered. Visitor access to the library can vary, so check its website before heading upstairs.
Getting here: Walk along Building 9 to its north end, near the campus bus stop.
Did you know?: Students can borrow more than books here: the library also lends laptops, Chromebooks and mobile hotspots.
Photo op: Step back from the north end of Building 9 to fit its upper floors and the sky into one frame.
