Building 9 - Welcome Center and Student Services

A stop on Canada College Campus Walk, a free self-guided tour.

Start at Building 9, the long building beside Lot 1 and the campus bus stop. If you are thinking about enrolling, this is the building to know. The ground floor holds the Welcome Center, where new students get help with orientation and course placement, along with Admissions and Records, Financial Aid, the Counseling Center, the Transfer Center and the Disability Resource Center. Programs for veterans, international students and undocumented students have offices here too.

The idea is simple: one building where a student can apply, register, plan classes with a counselor and ask about paying for college, without crossing campus. Upstairs are the Learning Center and the library, which you will see at the next stop.

Canada College held its first classes in September 1968 for about 2,000 students and was formally dedicated on April 27, 1969. It is one of three colleges in its district, alongside College of San Mateo and Skyline College.

Office hours change by term, so check the college website before you come in with questions.
