Welcome to Ann Arbor. This walk takes you through the University of Michigan's Central Campus and south to its most famous landmark, Michigan Stadium. Along the way you'll meet the traditions students swear by, the buildings that shaped the campus, and a few moments when national history happened right here.

You'll start at the Diag, the leafy crossroads at the heart of campus, then head north to the Rackham Building, Burton Memorial Tower and Hill Auditorium. From there you'll swing back down State Street to the Museum of Art, the spinning Cube, the Michigan Union and the Gothic Law Quadrangle, then continue south past Ferry Field to the Big House.

The route covers a little under 2 miles on foot and takes about two hours with time to look around. It ends at the stadium, roughly a 20-minute walk from where you began. Everything on the tour can be seen from public sidewalks and open grounds; building interiors depend on the day's events and hours. Start at the bronze block M in the center of the Diag, between State Street and East University Avenue.
