This tour follows Hong Kong's classic first-day route in 12 stops, from the Kowloon waterfront across Victoria Harbour to the top of Victoria Peak. Allow about four hours, more if you linger over lunch.

You start at the old railway Clock Tower in Tsim Sha Tsui, stroll the Avenue of Stars, and cross the harbor on the Star Ferry. In Central you will see the colonial heart of the city beside the towers of modern finance, ride the Central-Mid-Levels Escalator uphill, and explore Man Mo Temple, the PMQ design hub and the Tai Kwun heritage compound. The Peak Tram carries you up to the finale.

The route mixes walking with two rides. Get an Octopus card, the rechargeable stored-value card sold at the airport and MTR stations: it pays for the Star Ferry, the Peak Tram, buses and the MTR, and many shops take it too. Some streets in Central are steep, so wear comfortable shoes. Start at the Clock Tower beside the Star Ferry pier, a short walk from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station.
