A complimentary tram transports participants from the Welcome Center to this special enclosed lagoon area. The experience begins with an orientation session where knowledgeable guides explain stingray biology, behavior, habitat, and conservation. Learn fascinating facts about these misunderstood creatures including their feeding habits, sensory capabilities, and life cycles. The guides emphasize respect for marine life and proper interaction techniques. Then wade into the shallow, clear water where multiple stingrays glide gracefully around participants. Feel their silky, velvety skin as they swim past. The stingrays are accustomed to human presence and often approach seeking the food treats provided. Hold pieces of fish and squid while stingrays gently vacuum the offerings from your hands with their unique feeding mechanism. Their mouth is located on their underside, creating an unusual but fascinating feeding experience. Photographers from your ship capture professional images available for purchase, though guests may also take their own photos. The entire experience lasts approximately 90 minutes including transportation. Children must be at least 48 inches tall to participate.
