Journey south along the scenic west coast to discover Marigot Bay, often called the most beautiful bay in the Caribbean. This hurricane hole is surrounded on three sides by lush, steep hills that create a natural amphitheater. The protected deep-water harbor hosts luxury yachts and sailing vessels from around the world. Palm-fringed beaches line the bay, and the calm waters are perfect for swimming and kayaking. The bay gained fame as a filming location for Doctor Dolittle and has been featured in numerous movies and commercials. A water taxi ferries visitors between the north and south sides of the bay. The marina village offers upscale boutiques, restaurants, and bars with waterfront views. Hiking trails wind through the surrounding hills, offering elevated perspectives of the bay. The mangrove-lined inlet on the inner bay is home to diverse wildlife and can be explored by kayak. Sunset here is spectacular, with the sun dipping behind the western hills as the water glows golden.
