To explore the gorge, you must swim through progressively narrower passages, an exhilarating experience requiring moderate swimming ability. The water is cool and refreshing, heated slightly by underground volcanic activity. As you swim deeper into the gorge, sunlight filters through the narrow opening above, creating dramatic light effects. After about 50 meters of swimming, you reach a hidden waterfall cascading into the gorge, where you can stand under the powerful spray. Life jackets are available for less confident swimmers. The experience takes 30-60 minutes depending on your pace. Local guides stationed at the entrance provide orientation and safety information. The gorge maintains a mystical atmosphere with echoing sounds and changing light. Changing facilities and a small snack bar are available at the entrance.
