Michael King Smith Research Library and Museum Store
A stop on Hiller Aviation Museum: Unofficial Guide, a free self-guided tour.
The Michael King Smith Research Library holds about 5,400 books on aviation history and technology, along with other materials. Ask at the front desk about access for research.
The museum store sells books, models, toys and aviation gifts, and its proceeds support the museum.
Before you leave, step outside to look at San Carlos Airport, a busy small airport where you can often see light planes and helicopters taking off and landing.
This is the end of the tour. If you enjoyed it, look for the museum's special events, such as open cockpit days, when visitors can climb into aircraft that are normally closed.
